Equine Behaviour

Please note that I only cover the Pembrokeshire (Wales) area for this service.
A veterinary report would be required for this service and I can supply veterinary reports if
required - this will incur an additional fee.

The science of equine behaviour covers not only presenting behaviours, but also, how horses learn, their physiology (chemical reactions in the body that have an impact on behaviour) and ethology.
A consultation consists of an assessment of not only the horse’s behaviour, but also, their handling, training and environment. All of these factors can have a huge impact upon any maladaptive behavious that they are displaying.
My work is based on +R (positive reinforcement) training. This means that no punishment is involved and that instead, the horse chooses to offer creative and correct behaviours. A personalised behaviour modification programme will also be given.
